Moral Downfall

This issue of morals seems to come up with many debates about laws. Whether or not it is moral to execute a murderer or where the moral ground for punishing pedophiles lays, the different arguments are endless. Everyone claims that it is immoral to do certain things, and moral to do others, but where is the definition of what is moral heading? Society is losing the moral ground that it once stood on more and more everyday as times are changing, and there is no telling what will be considered moral in 10 years, 20 years or 50 years. Less than a century ago, it was considered immoral for a woman to show any skin other than her face and hands, but now young girls are wearing tiny clothes that are all too revealing. People, as a society, consider people who are always mad and grumpy to be normal, and being courteous to others is sometimes seen as strange. With the way morals are slipping, where can society be heading? The laws that are being passed seem to try and preserve some sense of morality, but many laws are often overlooked by people. How will the government be able to maintain control when society loses all sense of morals, or will everything just shift into anarchy?
